Atlantic Technological University
Atlantic Technological University (also known as Atlantic TU or ATU; Irish: Ollscoil Teicneolaíochta an Atlantaigh; OTA) is a technological university in the west and north-west of Ireland. It was formally established on 1 April 2022 as a merger of three existing institutes of technology (ITs) – Galway-Mayo IT, IT Sligo, and Letterkenny IT – into a single university, the fourth such TU in Ireland.

Dublin Business School (DBS), incorporating Portobello College, is an independent college in Ireland. With over 9,000 students, DBS provides a range of full-time and part-time undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, with courses in subject areas such as business, law, accounting, event management, IT, arts, media studies and psychology. The college's undergraduate and part-time degrees are recognised by QQI (Quality and Qualifications Ireland). The college is owned by Kaplan, Inc., part of the Graham Holdings Company.
Dublin City University
Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT, Irish: Institiúid Teicneolaíochta Bhaile Átha Cliath) was a major third-level institution in Dublin, Ireland. On 1 January 2019 DIT was dissolved and its functions were transferred to the Technological University Dublin. The institution began with the establishment of the first technical education institution in Ireland, in 1887, and progressed through various legal and governance models, culminating in autonomy under a statute of 1992.

Dundalk Institute of Technology
Dundalk Institute of Technology (DkIT; Irish: Institiúid Teicneolaíochta Dhún Dealgan) is an institute of technology, located in Dundalk, Ireland. Established as the Dundalk Regional Technical College, students were first enrolled in the college in 1971 and it was later re-defined as an institute of technology in January 1998.
Griffith College - Dublin
Established in 1974, with four campuses in Dublin, Cork and Limerick, Griffith College is one of the two largest independent higher education institutions in Ireland, with a student population of around 7,000 with 1,400 overseas students from over 77 countries.[citation needed] It is named after the former Griffith Barracks on the South Circular Road in DublinThe 7-acre Dublin campus is close to the city centre, where Griffith College has an additional campus.[citation needed] Student Halls of Residence are located on campus, close to the library, creative studios, the student bar and restaurant, gym facilities and the Students Union.
Maynooth University
The National University of Ireland, Maynooth (NUIM; Irish: Ollscoil na heireann Mha Nuad), commonly known as Maynooth University (MU), is a constituent university of the National University of Ireland in Maynooth, County Kildare, Ireland. It was Ireland's youngest university until Technological University Dublin was established in 2019, as it was founded by the Universities Act, 1997 from the secular faculties of the now separate St Patrick's College, Maynooth, which was founded in 1795. Maynooth is also the only university town in Ireland, all other universities being based within cities.
National College of Ireland
National College of Ireland (NCI) or Coláiste Náisiúnta na hÉireann (CNÉ) in Irish is a not-for-profit, state-aided third-level education institution in Dublin. It was founded in 1951 as a joint venture between Irish Jesuits and Irish Trade Unions and originally named the Catholic Workers College, Dublin. It is now an autonomous college, offering full and part-time courses from undergraduate to postgraduate level, in areas related to, among others, psychology, finance, business and computing. The courses are delivered from the IFSC campus in Dublin and across a network of regional centres.
Shannon College of Hotel Management
Shannon College of Hotel Management, founded in 1951, is Ireland's only dedicated hotel management college. We offer two level 8 degrees, 3 Level 9 degrees all preparing students for careers in business and hotel management. We also offer an International Business Foundation course as well as micro credentials and continuous professional development courses throughout the year.
South East Technological University
South East Technological University (SETU; Irish: Ollscoil Teicneolaíochta an Oirdheiscirt) is a public technological university located in the South East region of Ireland. It was formed from the amalgamation of two existing institutes of technology in the region – Waterford IT and IT Carlow. Following years of discussions and planning, its formation was announced in November 2021[11] and was formally established on 1 May 2022. It is the only university in the South East of Ireland.
The National University of Ireland Galway
The University of Galway (Irish: Ollscoil na Gaillimhe) is a public research university located in the city of Galway, Ireland. The university was founded in 1845 as "Queen's College, Galway". It was known as "University College, Galway" (UCG) (Irish: Coláiste na hOllscoile, Gaillimh), until 1997 and as "National University of Ireland Galway" (NUI Galway) (Irish: Ollscoil na hÉireann Gaillimh; OÉ Gaillimh), until 2022. In late April 2022, it was announced that NUI Galway would be renamed "Ollscoil na Gaillimhe – University of Galway" in summer 2022, amid confusion over its proper title.
Trinity College Dublin
Trinity College (Irish: Coláiste na Tríonóide), officially The Provost, Fellows, Foundation Scholars and the other members of Board, of the College of the Holy and Undivided Trinity of Queen Elizabeth near Dublin, is the sole constituent college of the University of Dublin, a research university in Dublin, Ireland. Queen Elizabeth I founded the college in 1592 as "the mother of a university" that was modelled after the collegiate universities of Oxford and Cambridge, but unlike these affiliated institutions, only one college was ever established; as such, the designations "Trinity College" and "University of Dublin" are usually synonymous for practical purposes.

With 33,284 students, it is Ireland's largest university, and amongst the most prestigious universities in the country. Five Nobel Laureates are among UCD's alumni and current and former staff.
University of Limerick
The University of Limerick (UL) (Irish: Ollscoil Luimnigh) is a public research university institution in Limerick, Ireland. Founded in 1972 as the National Institute for Higher Education, Limerick, it became a university in September 1989 in accordance with the University of Limerick Act 1989. It was the first university established since Irish independence in 1922, followed by the establishment of Dublin City University later the same day.
