These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Uscholars Study Abroad (the “Website”). By accessing our website, booking a consultation, or using any of our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must discontinue use of our services immediately.
Studiverse Ltd t/a Uscholars Study Abroad is the operator of the Website. We are a limited company registered in England and Wales (Company Number: 16463079). Our registered office is at Unit 3, Halegrove Court, Cygnet Drive, Stockton-On-Tees, United Kingdom, TS18 3DB.
1. General
1.1 Studiverse Ltd t/a Uscholars Study Abroad (“we”, “us” or “our”) acts as an overseas education consultancy for students who wish to study abroad.
1.2 Uscholars Study Abroad Consultancy is an overseas education consultancy that provides guidance and advisory services to students seeking admission to educational institutions abroad. We operate through physical offices, online platforms, phone consultations, and partner networks.
1.3 We do NOT own universities, visa offices, accommodation properties, or financial institutions. We act solely as an advisory and facilitation service provider.
1.4 Unless the context clearly indicates to the contrary, wherever you see an apparently Inappropriate Use of Capital Letters, the words or phrases concerned are defined for the purposes of these Terms as follows:
1.4.1 Uscholars / We / Us - Uscholars Study Abroad Consultancy
1.4.2 Student / Client / User / You - Any person using Uscholars services
1.4.3 Partner Institutions - Universities, colleges, lenders, accommodation providers, visa agencies, or third-party service providers
1.4.4 Services - Counselling, university applications, visa guidance, accommodation referrals, scholarship assistance, pre-departure support, and related services
2. Our Services
2.1 Uscholars provides academic guidance and additional services for the study abroad process, but not limited to:
2.1.1 Course and university shortlisting
2.1.2 Admission application assistance
2.1.3 Statement of Purpose and Resume Guidance
2.1.4 Documentation review
2.1.5 Visa guidance and mock interview preparation
2.1.6 Scholarship information and guidance
2.1.7 Education loan referrals
2.1.8 Student Accommodation referrals
2.1.9 Pre‑departure guidance and student orientation
2.2 Our services are advisory in nature. Final decisions regarding admission, scholarship awards, visa approval, accommodation allocation, and employment opportunities are made solely by the relevant third‑party institutions.
2.3 Uscholars does not guarantee admission, scholarship approval, visa approval, internship placement, or employment outcomes under any circumstances.
3. User Eligibility
3.1 Users must be legally capable of entering into binding agreements.
3.2 Students under 18 must obtain written consent from a parent or legal guardian.
3.3 Uscholars reserves the right to refuse services where eligibility requirements are not met.
4. Fees and Payments
4.1 Uscholars does not collect or hold third‑party payments such as university tuition fees, visa fees, test fees, accommodation deposits, or loan payments unless explicitly agreed in writing.
4.2 Where consultancy fees apply:
4.2.1 Fees will be communicated in writing prior to service commencement.
4.2.2 Fees once paid are non‑refundable unless expressly stated in a signed agreement.
4.2.3 Payment plans, if offered, must be honoured as agreed.
4.2.4 Third‑party payments are governed solely by the policies of those institutions.
5. Intellectual Property
5.1 All the intellectual property rights in Uscholars Study Abroad, including all the services offered on the Website, are owned or controlled by Studiverse Ltd t/a Uscholars Study Abroad.
5.2 All the intellectual property rights in Partner institution descriptions and images are owned or controlled by the relevant institution or someone authorised by them, either of whom has licensed those intellectual property rights to us for the purpose of delivering our services via the Website.
5.3 You are not permitted to edit, copy, duplicate or save any of the images or extracts found on this Website
6. Limitation of Liability
6.1 To the fullest extent permitted by law, Uscholars shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential loss including but not limited to:
6.1.1 Admission rejection
6.1.2 Visa refusal
6.1.3 Financial loss
6.1.4 Travel disruptions
6.1.5 Policy changes
6.1.6 Third‑party negligence
6.1.7 Loss of opportunity
6.2 Most of the information you find on this Website regarding Partner Institutions are as provided by our Partner Institutions. Consequently, we cannot state categorically whether any information you find is either accurate or up to date, and you should not rely on anything you find on the Website without checking it first.
6.3 Although we monitor what is published on the Website, we shall not be liable for any possible false or misleading information that has been published on it, nor shall we be liable for any loss or damage caused by your use of the Website.
6.4 These limitations of liability should not be interpreted as excluding or limiting in any way our liability for death or personal injury resulting from our negligence or for fraud or for any other issue for which it would be unlawful for us to exclude or limit our liability.
7. Data Protection
7.1 We shall comply at all times with all the provisions and obligations imposed by the Data Protection Act 1998 (“the Act”) when storing and processing Personal Data. You confirm that we may use your Personal Data (including Personal Data defined by the Act as “sensitive personal data”) for the purposes of delivering our services to you and for making or arranging your Booking with the Accommodation Provider.
7.2 Any Personal Data stored by us about you is available on request but there may be a fee payable.
7.3 We collect personal information to provide our services. By using our services, you consent to data collection, storage, and sharing with partner institutions for application processing.
7.4 We implement reasonable safeguards to protect data, but cannot guarantee absolute security. Please review our Privacy Policy for detailed information.
8. Marketing Consent
8.1 By submitting enquiries or registering with us, you consent to receiving communications via email, phone, SMS, or WhatsApp related to study abroad services, events, and updates. You may opt out at any time.
9. Termination of Services
9.1 Uscholars may terminate services immediately if:
9.1.1 False documents are submitted
9.1.2 Relevant payments are not made
9.1.3 Misconduct or abuse occurs
9.1.4 Legal or ethical concerns arise
9.2 Students may discontinue services at any time, but consultancy fees or previously agreed paid services remain non‑refundable.
10. Force Majeure
10.1 Uscholars shall not be liable for failure or delay due to events beyond our control, including pandemics, embassy closures, strikes, government policy changes, natural disasters, war, or travel restrictions..
11. Severance
11.1 If a court finds any part of these Terms illegal, the rest will continue in force. Each clause of these Terms will operate separately, unless specifically mentioned in the Terms, subject to such changes as a presiding court may deem appropriate in order to achieve the clearly intended purpose of the said clause.
12. Assignment
12.1 We may assign our agreement with you (including all our obligations to you) at any time, and if we do so, we will inform you by email of that assignment and the third party to whom we have assigned our agreement with you.
12.2 You may not assign your agreement with us to any third party at any time save with our express consent, and should you attempt to do so, we may accept your purported assignment as a material breach of these Terms for which we may be entitled to terminate our agreement with you (including all further obligations as yet unfulfilled) with immediate effect.
13. Variation
13.1 We may change these Terms from time to time at our discretion, and when we do so, we will notify you in advance of the change as soon as it is reasonably practicable for us to do so.
13.2 Uscholars reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of revised Terms.
14. Termination
14.1 We may terminate our agreement with you on written notice with immediate effect at any time should you enter into any form of insolvency process, including personal bankruptcy or any voluntary arrangement with your creditors.
14.2 We may terminate our agreement with you on written notice with immediate effect at any time should we suspect that you are a participant in any kind of fraud or that you intend to use our Services for which it is not intended.
14.3 Should we terminate our agreement with you in accordance with this clause 15, we shall be entitled to retain all Fees paid by you, and we shall be relieved of all further obligation towards you in respect of the services to which this agreement relates. Clause 1 and clauses 7 to 16 shall remain in force notwithstanding our termination of the agreement.
15. Complaints and Dispute Resolution
15.1 Complaints must be submitted in writing to our official email. We aim to respond within 7 working days.
15.2 Any dispute shall first be attempted to be resolved amicably. If unresolved, disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction stated below.
16. Law and Jurisdiction
16.1 These terms and conditions are subject to the laws of England and Wales.
16.2 Any legal action or claim arising out of these terms and conditions shall be the subject of exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
