Whether you're eyeing roles in Spain's vibrant creative industries or global opportunities, IED's ecosystem is designed to boost your employability.

Career Services and Support

IED's Career Services department is a dedicated hub that provides comprehensive assistance from day one of your program. For Indian students navigating the nuances of studying abroad, this support is invaluable in bridging cultural and professional gaps. Key offerings include:

  • Personalized Career Counseling: One-on-one sessions with expert advisors to refine your CV, craft a European-style portfolio, and prepare for interviews. Special focus on highlighting skills relevant to Indian talent, such as innovative problem-solving and multicultural perspectives.
  • Job Fairs and Networking Events: Annual events like the IED Job Fair connect you with top employers from brands like Zara, Mango, Desigual, and international giants such as LVMH and Adidas. In 2023, over 150 companies participated, with dedicated sessions for international hires.
  • Alumni Network: Access to a global community of 75,000+ IED alumni, including successful Indian professionals in Europe. Mentorship programs pair you with alumni in Spain or back home for insights on post-study work visas and career progression.
  • Language and Soft Skills Workshops: Free sessions on Spanish proficiency (essential for local placements) and business English, helping Indian students adapt to Spain's bilingual work environment.

These services are free for all enrolled students and extend up to 12 months post-graduation, aligning perfectly with Spain's post-study work visa options for non-EU students like Indians, allowing up to one year to seek employment.

Internship Opportunities

Hands-on experience is at the heart of IED's curriculum, with internships integrated into most programs. For the upcoming intake, IED guarantees internship placements for 80% of students, often leading to full-time offers. In Spain, the creative sector thrives, and IED's location in design hubs like Barcelona provides unparalleled access.

Why Internships Matter for Indian Students: Internships not only build your resume but also qualify you for Spain's internship visa extensions, easing the path to permanent roles. IED partners with over 2,000 companies worldwide, including Spanish firms focused on sustainable design—a growing field appealing to eco-conscious Indian professionals.
