Adelaide University (also known as the University of Adelaide) is a newly formed public research university based in Adelaide, South Australia, scheduled to formally commence in 2026 through the amalgamation of the University of Adelaide and the University of South Australia. Its campuses span both metropolitan and regional locations: major sites include the Adelaide City Campus (with eastern and western precincts), Magill, Mawson Lakes, Waite, Roseworthy, Mount Gambier, and Whyalla. Adelaide University aims to deliver world-class education and research that addresses global and local challenges, with strong foundations in innovation and partnerships. The institution emphasises accessibility, scholarship, and student experience, providing contemporary study spaces, well-resourced libraries, and support services (academic, emotional, social) across campuses.
